Your TBI Family mourns the loss of our loved ones and we are here for you in your time of need. When a death occurs, please call the synagogue at 610-275-8797 so that we may inform the clergy and assist you with the funeral, burial and shiva.

The Norristown Jewish Community Center Cemetery in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania is operated and maintained by congregation Tiferet Bet Israel in Blue Bell, PA. The Norristown Jewish Community Center Cemetery was established in  1905 as an exclusively Jewish cemetery for members of the congregation and their immediate families. The cemetery is located at 300 Fairfield Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Please contact the Synagogue office at 610-275-8797 for information regarding burial plots in the Norristown Jewish Community Center Cemetery.

An unveiling of the gravestone is typically held between nine months and the one-year anniversary (first yahrzeit) of a loved one’s passing. Please contact the clergy for resources and guidance for this ceremony.

Yahrzeit plaques are usually placed in synagogues and are lit on the anniversary of the person's death, known as the Yahrzeit. This is a time for family and friends to come together to remember the person and to say prayers for their soul. The lighting of a Yahrzeit candle is a common way to mark this occasion and is a symbol of the soul's connection to God.

Honor your loved one by purchasing any of the following to commemorate their memory:
