Director of Finance

I am a CPA, with over 36 years of experience, a majority in the nonprofit arena. My work experience spans both in public accounting and in the private sector and is enhanced by my annual continued education.

I grew up in a Jewish, observant household in Highland Park, New Jersey and started attending Friday night and Shabbat morning services, with my family, at the age of two. So, it only made sense, that, at some point in my career, I would accept a position in a conservative synagogue, a place where I feel so comfortable. This would enable me to combine my love for Judaism with my ability to help a nonprofit organization maintain its financial stability.  In 2006, that opportunity arose at Tiferet Bet Israel. Fourteen years later, TBI has become my second home. During my years here, my role and responsibilities have grown and I have recently been promoted to Director of Finance.

Prior to earning my Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, I spent a year in Israel on a program through Young Judea, a youth group I was extremely involved in most of my life. I am a proud life member of Hadassah, as are all the women in my family.

Working for a nonprofit is extremely fulfilling. Managing day to day financial operations, providing timely accurate accounting records and financial reports allows our leadership to make sound fiscal decisions. In addition to serving as an advisor for TBI’s lay leadership and staff, I am also available to answer congregant’s financial related questions or concerns. My door is always open and I am a phone call away.
